Vibram Trak

Vibram's second fairway driver, the Trak, is the stable complement to the Ascent. The Trak is suitable to slower arm speeds as well as the big arms. It flies straight and true right out of the box. Be prepared to be surprised at how easy it is to get it on a long straight line.

Available in both X-Link and X-Link Firm, our rubber based material providing optimal grip & durability.

The X-Link material is a unique rubber-based compound which resists scuffs, has incredible durability and unequaled grip. Additionally, X-Link has a stronger memory than any disc currently on the market, so if you do manage to bend it out of shape, in all likelihood, it will work its way back.

X-Link Firm
X-Link Firm is a rubber-based compound which is based on Vibram’s X-Link. It is a special blend designed to maximize the firmness of the disc while maintaining as much of the grip and durability that is found in the base X-Link material. Over 50 formulations were tested in the creation of X-Link Firm to create its optimal performance.

Great Disc for winter discers like myself here in Iowa. I throw a medium as well as a firm, but I stay with the firm during the summer months. Don't waste time thinking about what disc to get through the trees, pick up a trak. (Posted on 2/7/13)

I picked up this disc from the used pile at the Clearwater store. I thought it would be fun. It had a very noticeably reliable line, keeping slight anhyzer for about 90% of it's flight and the same for hyzers, but I couldn't really get any distance on it. I ended up treating it as midrange disc because of it's reliability and it's low glide and heavy drop (no skipping or rolling).A month went by and my driving really improved. With that, today I decided to try it out as driver. Imagine my surprise when it turned out to be the farthest flying disc in my bag. It still hold the same line you give it- this can be a blessing and a curse. If you don't have that perfectly flat release, the disc will significantly move in the direction of your hyzer/anhyzer, so make sure to not put too much power into it, unless you know exactly what you're doing. I've also noticed way more glide in it than I had before- this goes really far, and doesn't shift too much with wind currents either. Plus, it doesn't fly high as some discs with more lift do, it keeps it's even low line for almost all of it's flight. This is now my favorite driver, and it still makes a formidable mid-range. I'm hoping to now buy one at a slightly lower weight, since this one is above my preferred weight (it's 172 but I usually throw 167) to see how much distance I should be seeing with this disc.Buy one and make sure you give it time to get acquainted with the disc. You won't reget it. (Posted on 10/5/12)

(LHBH) I picked this up from the used pile at the Clearwater store. It seemed new, despite being in the used pile. I at first assumed it was because someone won it and sold it to the store, now I realized that this thing could have been used for years and it would still be in the same shape as when it was new.It stay on any line you give it, and keeps that line for about 9/10th of the flight before fading out. when it hits the ground, it doesn't skip or roll, just slides for a foot or two. It is a little unwieldy, so you need to put a lot of power behind it for longer distances.I mostly use this on holes with lots of trees, where I don't want to destroy my more fragile drivers or where I'm afraid hitting a tree might send my disc flying into the woods. If you hit a tree with this, no harm will come to the disc and it won't ricochet nearly as violently as any other plastic might. Because It holds any line, it has a pretty predictable flight path, but you need to have a very consistent release to trust in this disc, it won't do any favors for you. That being said, if I were only allowed to use one disc for a whole course, I would pick this one since you can get some decent drives, some simple and safe midrange shots, and it's rubber material makes it a safe putter, too.Lastly, make sure you get it in a color that's easy to spot. Mine is a green brown swirl which really hides in the woods. (Posted on 10/1/12)

I own two Traks right now, and they are easily my favorite fairway driver. These discs have great glide and will sit on just about any line you put them on. The X-Link plastic blend has amazing all-weather grip and durability. Just like with all Vibram discs, I love how these fly as intended right out of the box and don't have a required break-in period to get them to where you want. Overall, for a great, stable fairway driver that will hold any line, definitely get the Trak! (Posted on 3/28/12)

I recently purchased a trak in the X-Link soft format. Wow! What a flimsy disc! But, I found this disc has more uses than just a driver. Maybe Vibram did not intend it as such, but this thing in the soft mode makes a great mid-range and a fantastic putter. I never would dream I would get a utility disc out of this particular one, but there it is. I am not quite sure what your results will be should you get one of these, but I am quite happy with this one. (Posted on 1/18/12)
