The Star Max is designed as a high-speed overstable long distance wind-fighter.
It`s stiff and durable in Star plastic, giving you the confidence to rip it without fear of turning over.
It hyzers continuously throughout it`s flight, much like a Banshee but considerably faster.
Makes a great forehand driver for long hook shots. For backhand throwers, it requires the snap of a true power player.
As the name suggests, this disc is designed primarily for max weights, so lower weights are sort of hard to come by.
175 grams only.

An absolute must for really strong headwinds. Super overstable. Also great for hyzer bombs. Throw it high and wide for huge shots around trees. (Posted on 1/15/14)

The next step up in Innova's lineup of very overstable distance drivers. Like a monster is a faster firebird, the max is a faster monster. Good distance potential if you can get er up to speed. (Posted on 10/1/12)

Honestly, I would consider this disc a long monster. It is much faster but not nearly as overstable. It is a great utility disc, especially for long flicks!Review:Long MonsterWide RimCrazy overstableVery fast (Posted on 11/8/11)

This disc is good for one thing and one thing only, THUMBERS! It is too overstable for anything else, but makes a great thumber disc. Very fast and extremely overstable. (Posted on 3/23/11)

175g RHFH Great disc for a forehand. Really overstable, straight flyer and will never flip over. But you have to have the power to throw Max because when the power ends then it starts to fade very quickly and very strongly. At the end of the insane fading you will very likely see a good amount of skip, so dont expect it to fall as a rock(if not thrown really high), because it will not. Great workhorse. Amazing overstable disc and overhand shot disc. This disc refuses to be flipped and I love this disc where you got funk to the right or a lake. (I speak of throwing RHBH). As it breaks itself in, it will have a slightly more sensitive breaking point, but by then you'll get a feel for it. It is also a great wind fighting disc. I'm only sad they never came out with it in other plastics. I keep this in my bag for headwinds and shots where I don't want to turn over the disc. Be advised that this disc has a nasty, sharp fade as it slows down. (Posted on 8/13/10)

This disc is good for back-hand throws where you need a straight flight for a while, then a sharp hyzer hook. Not a good forehand or sidearm disc, and, at least for me, refuses to s-flight.But, good, fairly reliable distance. (Posted on 7/12/10)
