About the Star Firebird

The Firebird has the stability of a Banshee with more speed and a more elongated flight path.  Innova`s Flagship Wind-fighter.  With a low-profile and a very consistent line, it`s a disc that performs well for the most demanding pros and power players.  Very few Innova discs are as overstable as this disc.

Great for extreme hyzers and low skip shots and insane anhyzers.  Super stable fast and grippy in Star plastic.

More about the Star Firebird from Innova

The Firebird is our most popular upwind distance driver. The Firebird’s combination of superior speed and stability make it possible to throw drives into the wind with confidence. An excellent disc for throwing long range flex shots. A favorite of sidearm and overhead throwers, too. This disc is designed for professional level players.

About Star plastic

Our Star Line is created with a special blend of grippy, resilient polymers. Star Plastic offers the same outstanding durability of our regular Champion Plastic, plus improved grip like our Pro Plastic. Star discs have the same flight rating characteristics of Champion discs, although some Star Lite discs may be slightly more high-speed stable. High performance, longevity, and superior grip make Innova Star Line discs the ideal choice for your game.

Fits right in between the FL and the Champ Firebird in terms of glide and stability. Less stable and more glide than the Champ Fbird. Great for shots that need to go straight for a bit and then fade hard at the end. (Posted on 9/27/12)

A staple in the wind fighting/flick family...I don't flick as many shots as I probably should but when I do this is the disc i use because you can release it with some anhyzer and you know it's gonna come back right also good for long ultra flat drives, awesome tree dodging helix shots and long a$$ anhyzer drives that you want to land flat or come back left (Posted on 5/17/11)

The best overhand disc made!!! The firebird has really improved my thumbers! With just enough angle its the most accurate shot! I parked a 250 at a course at a local course with a thumber that was right under the basket! Great disc!! (Posted on 4/11/11)

I love this disc! Bought one from a guy at my local course. A pink 170g. I use it for two finger medium drives. For my long drives I like the boss, but for a little shorter ones I throw the firebird. It really holds a great line for me and I get great accuracy with it. If you like to throw two finger check this disc out. (Posted on 9/29/10)

I picked up one of these at a local store, bright pink, and lighter than I normally throw (169g) and I have never gotten as much consistency and control out of a disc as I do with this.It makes a great tomahawk disc, and an amazing forehand/sidearm disc. And backhand - I don't know. I don't throw many. But it will skip predictably, if you throw it right, or stay where it hits, if it's what you want. It's a good - if not excellent - wind fighter. And it's straight enough to be used as a putter up to 30 or so feet for me. (Posted on 9/6/10)
