D1 is a very fast, over stable driver designed for power throwers. This driver is good for all conditions and flies as well into the wind as it does with the wind. The consistent flight path of this disc makes it a favorite of disc golfers looking not only for a long flight but pinpoint accuracy. The flight path is similar regardless of the weight. Limited Edition First Run custom hotstamp.
The Prodigy D1 is the most overstable driver in Prodigy's line. That is exactly what it is. This disc will go far but you do have to start it on an anhyzer if you want the disc to get the most distance. On a flat release, the D1 will stay stable for a portion of its flight but will quickly start to fade. Great disc for forehand shots if you are still working on your forehand game. Because it is so overstable, if you roll your wrist (like many forehanders do) this disc will still flatten out instead of holding an anhyzer line for the majority of its flight. I would not recommend this disc to beginners who do not throw far. It is a higher speed driver and requires a greater arm speed if you want this disc to go far. With a weaker arm speed, this disc will act more overstable than expected.
Overall, this is a great disc for current players and it would measure up well with an Innova Boss, Innova Ape, and Discraft Nuke. I would recommend this disc to any player who has developed a decent game and can already throw over 300 feet. It will be an overstable addition to anybody's bag and in the end, it is a fantastic disc. (Posted on 1/15/14)
