The Pro Katana - one of the fastest understable discs in the world.

This Ultra-Longrange Driver will be, for many, the furthest flying disc to date.  An oversized wing and the propensity to turn over with a slower armspeed will give this disc the ability to do what no other disc has done to date - give the average player the ability to throw a screaming shot with some hyzer angle, high off the ground, while gradually turning over and then turning back.  This flight pattern spends the most time in the air and thus has the potential to fly farther than any other shot.  The incredible glide at the end of the flight extends its distance potential even further with the right snap.

Surprisingly the Pro version starts off fairly stable - straight for about 75% of the flight with a pretty good fade over the last 25%.

In Pro Plastic, this disc will beat in fairly quick, allowing players of just about any ability the opportunity to throw those long bombing anhyzer shots - just like the Big Boys!

After feild testing the Katana in a variety of weights and colors we know this much for sure:

This will be the farthest flying disc for a large percentage of the general public - those who had had trouble getting the armspeed required for those big drives over 350 feet.

It is medium stable with the propensity to turnover slowly during flight but not too drastically.

It is an excellent downwind disc that won`t drop off prematurely before finishing out its flight.

Most are soft on top and slighty overstable towards the end of the flight.  The domey ones are a little more stable and require a little more armspeed.

We designed the Katana with the finesse thrower in mind. Hit the angle correctly and watch it bolt out of sight. The physical characteristics resemble a Boss with the flight characteristics of a Sidewinder on steroids.
Weight Range: 165 to 175 grams

Great disc for slower arms, too much power and it'll turn over. Throw it soft on a slight anhyzer for rhbh shots that dogleg right. I use this disc everyday I play. (Posted on 1/15/14)

Great disc for long bombs, especially for lower arm speed players (Posted on 1/15/14)

I've been wanting to try one out, but after my experience with the 13 speed Groove, I was wary of purchasing one; However, I acquired one in a trade. This is an extremely easy disc to throw for as fast as it is and control is not an issue. I've found it to be more versatile than I thought it would be. If you throw it with a bit of anhyzer, it takes it and runs. If you throw it flat, it turns over some before fading back. If you throw it with just a little hyzer, it comes out and flies straight before finishing left. Not only is it easy to throw, but when you release it, you can just tell that it's gonna bomb. Based on my experiences, I would say that this a high speed driver that even intermediate players could benefit from. (Posted on 1/20/13)

Great first disc for those looking to step up to the warp speed drivers. Even new, the Katana will have a healthy bit of turn to it. It needs a lot of room to complete its flight because of much it turns and fades. It usually will never go straight; that is, either you have enough arm to get it up to speed and turn it, or you don't and will just stall out. (Posted on 9/28/12)

One of the best discs made by innova. When thrown with lots of snap it will turnover and glid. Put some hyzer on it and the disc will flip up and go forever! (Posted on 12/7/11)

One of the most reliable discs in my bag. It goes just exactly where I throw it and does not turn until the very end of the flight. And it is also the farthest flying disc in my bag as well. You want a disc that will get you down the fairway quicker and faster? Put one of these discs in your bag. You will be glad you did! (Posted on 12/1/11)

The pro katana, in my opinion, is better than the star. Less stable, and therefore easier to hyzer flip for massive distance. If you cant throw a boss, give the PRO-tana a try. (Posted on 3/22/11)

Edit on my last review: just went to that same course today, it was a leaner at 581 feet, not 426. Lots of confidence in this disc. (Posted on 1/20/11)

I've gotten my longest throw out of a brand new Katana--a leaner at 426ft. Awesome disc. I have two, one of which is a great straight flyer, the other is a tad understable which drives me crazy. Definitely a must have for those who can throw those higher speeds. (Posted on 1/8/11)

Fairly easy to throw for such a fast disc. This puppy turns average arms into big bombers. I use it for long turnover drives. (Posted on 10/14/10)

when I throw this disc I begin to feel as though if I put enough behind this disc then it will cruise from 1st gear to 2nd.1st gear: Normal distance thrown from a driver2nd gear: 40 extra yardsEasily my fastest disc. If you do what is necessary on the flick then you can really study the flight of this disc in all its worldly travel.P.S. If you drive a ford and there's a Porsche(i.e. Pro Katana) in the garage...... Need I say more! (Posted on 8/30/10)

Holy cow! This is my new favorite disc! It flies soooo far and fast! I found one and once I threw it I fell in love with it! My Star Destroyer was my favorite disc, but after I got this its my #1 driver! I now have 3 of them, and my game has improved by a crap lot! (Posted on 7/14/10)

I currently use this disc and i have nothing but love for it. By far my favorite disc to throw from the tee. It breaks nicely once you figure out how it reacts to your throw and it never lets you down on the long drives. Its name fits as it slices through the air and glides for a few hundred feet with no problem. (Posted on 3/23/10)

This disc goes on for DAYS! The first disc I ever broke the 400' mark with! This happened the first time it left my hand. I just stood there wondering when it was going to stop. NEVER felt that way about a disc before! And it wasn't a fluke, because this has been a consistent occurance. I was BLOWN AWAY! When Innova says "Fast, long, easy distance off the tee", they aren't jerking your chain. Get one. Now. (Posted on 3/21/10)
