This has been my best all around driver. Really more of a shorter distance driver than a fairway, I can throw this further, even in a higher weight than anything else I have that is not StarLite or Blizzard. And I can throw it more accurately on a line than anything else that has the same range. Flies much like a Viking, but a bit more controllable. (Posted on 6/1/14)

Great for straight tunnel shots. With less power this thing will go absolutely straight with minimal fade at the end. Expect more birdies with this disc. (Posted on 1/15/14)

Much like the teebird, the volt is a stable disc for beginners, understable for stronger arms. Really good in the wind, and very tough. If you hit lots of trees, this disc willnot break over any tree. The black rim protects it and I think will give it a long life. (Posted on 2/15/13)

Flies more like the Shock is supposed to in my opinion. I wasn't really getting any turn out of it when thrown around 300-325 feet. Rather than a fade of 1 mine was probably more like 2. When it was done it definitely started its leftward descent. Fits well into the hand, but has a shallow grip (1.1 cm if I'm not mistaken). Works well as an all-around fairway driver. My Volt: pink, 169 grams, very slight dome (Posted on 2/13/13)

When first picking up this disc on the tee, you might notice that almost all of the weight is on the rim. This makes it a bit harder to release level. Most of my throws with it at first went far, but not straight- something I attribute to not yet being used to the off-center weight. That begin said, once it does release, it tends to find it's own level as best as it can, and finally having a slight gentle fade (not sharp) that really penetrates for extra distance.I haven't been able to get good accuracy on my backhand drives, but it's wind depth is absolutely perfect for flick shots, and the extra wing weight seems to help me here rather than hurt. It could be that the extra torque I get with a flick versus a backhand really let's the disc's gyroscopic ability shine. I will probably be using this for flicks mostly, since I haven't seen it replace my normal backhand drivers yet. (Posted on 10/27/12)

After throwing this disc for an hour, it appears to be similar to an Eagle or Banshee. I think it flies a bit faster than those discs, thus a speed rating of seven might be too low. An eight or a nine could be closer. The hard edge will prevent the disc from gaining "breaking in characteristics." I threw the disc into a wall a few times and there was barely a scratch on the rim. The disc flies straight and stable longer than average fairway driver. It settles into a gentle hyzer. I didn't notice a big skip at the end. The quality MVP discs are awesome and the Volt continues that trend. (Posted on 10/27/12)
