River has taken the market by storm and is a disc with THE GLIDE. It's easy to throw and fits most player's power and skill levels. River is a fairway control driver and while it's not the fastest disc we have made, and doesn't have the widest wing ever made, it is a disc for accurate driving and good control. With small fade and amazing glide, you can really let it fly on to those big anhyzer curves.
Flight ratings are:
Speed: 7, Glide: 7, Turn: -2, Fade: 1.

When I read about this disc and its incredible glide, I was really excited to try it. Now that I have one and it's been in my bag for a few weeks, I've been finding it to be not as useful as I had hoped. It ends up filling a very specific niche- thrown on shots where for whatever reason, I can't pull my arm back for a real disc throw. This definitely does have a lot of glide, so ti does very well in low speed throws with little power behind it. But because of that, I have never had a really successful drive with it. It also has a strong fade that starts really early in the flight, so to get the most out of it, you not only need a slow smooth drive, you also need a slight anhyzer.Maybe as I use it more, I might find more reasons to pull it out, but for now, it's just a pretty and very specific disc that doesn't get much use. Glides even better than in opto plastic. Fantastic grip and feel, looks great and lasts forever. One of the best pure control fairways out there. (Posted on 10/2/12)

One of the best gliding fairway drivers out there. Will fly long and far. Average power will result in a very straight flight and higher powered throwers will turn this disc a bit. The GL plastic is very grippy and durable. (Posted on 9/27/12)

one of my fav discs, a must have gold line river... the speed is ok at 7 and the glide is awsome at a 7... and fairly stable.... the call it a river cause with a good rip ull go over a river. a great disc for those shorter throws that u still have to go over a pond or small lake, and stable for an acurate throw..... Good disc. Easy to throw and very reliable. Great accuracy but not the best distance. A good disc for beginners. (Posted on 3/23/11)

Most glide Ive ever seen on a driver. This disc is deadly accurate and stays in the air forever. Not the fastest disc, but makes up for it with its extreme glide. Good fairway driver where the tunnel is tight. (Posted on 3/23/11)

This disc is a great disc that has lots of glide. For me it flies extremely straight. The only problem with it, is that you can blame a bad throw on the disc. This disc will go exactly where you release it. I used to be a big fan of the Innova TL, because of how little it faded at the end of flight but the river has put my TL to shame. I have to say that this is the most accurate fairway driver in my bag. (Posted on 1/20/11)

This was my first Lat64 experience, and based on this disc, I'd definitely try another disc of theirs. I picked up a Gold Line River in a trade. Wow! Everything you may have heard about the glide on this disc is true. It makes it very easy to put where you want with minimal effort as you don't have to put much power on it. However, you can also launch this thing and it will fly. I've only gotten to play one round with it, other than just throwing it to get used to it, and I love it. It actually surprised me how long it stays in the air. It just doesn't want to come down. (Posted on 11/26/10)
