This is the only standard production run of the Starfire that`s made with the highly coveted "SL" mold.
This mold gives the Starfire an almost perfectly flat bottom half of the wing that takes away a good deal of the overstability that`s inherent in the Starfire.
The result is a disc that flies relatively straight for all but the smallest amounts of snap and armspeed.
It`s very fast and user friendly for the wide majority of players with medium snap and reasonable armspeed.
For bigger arms, it makes a valuable turnover or long anhyzer disc that`ll handle descent torque but won`t have to be forced over to hold it`s line.
It breaks in quicker, making it more and more useful for turnover shots as it ages.
Some players report some of their best distance drives with this disc.
But it`s not quite the wind-fighter that the regular Starfire mold is, so beware as the wind kicks up. This disc can get a little squirrelly in less than favorable conditions.
Most are white, but there are a few colors available in limited numbers.
