Not sure what you mean by regular FireBird but a 12X is Champion plastic. If you have a Champion FireBird with no 12X stamp on it then it is just a different stamp - they are otherwise the same aside from which run they come from.

My first long distance love. This was my money disc for months until I finally got too cocky and tried to throw it over a danger zone, and it was never recovered. I moved on to the Champion Wraith, and it took some getting used to. I bought a DX Wraith just to test the difference between the two discs, which are negligible. Great disc, a must have for anyone with a strong arm.
