Long Range Drivers
Long Range drivers add an extra layer of speed to the flight of distance drivers with a wider wing on the outer edge giving these "high-tech" discs more glide and distance. Essentially, these discs, in theory, make it easier to throw 350` or more for a medium power thrower. Where a fairway distance driver might have to be muscled pretty hard to get it over 350`, these discs will do it with ease, allowing the thrower to devote more of his energy to accuracy and less to power.
These discs are ideally suited to the 300-400` range, although you`ll see players using them for more and less. The problem with less is it takes a certain amount of armspeed and especially snap to get these discs to actually perform. By under powering these discs you`ll never actually get to "drive" these discs. You may get lucky on a few shots with them but it will be a low percentage. If you can`t get the snap on these to at least hold them straight for a while you should get a fairway distance driver or a midrange disc. They`ll work much better with a lower snap.
