About the Champion Roadrunner

The Roadrunner in Champion plastic is designed to be Innova`s most understable long range driver. Due to the stable nature of Champion plastic, the heavier weights tend to be straight flyers right out of the box with a little hyzer at the end of the flight. It takes a good amount of torque to hold these over. In the lighter weights, this disc gradually gives way to understability especially as it breaks in, although this takes a while in nearly indestructible Champion plastic. This makes for a very versatile disc that`s great for accurate straight shots in the heavier weights and perfect for holding a long turnover or anhyzer shot in the lighter weights. For the speed and the distance that disc is capable, this is one of the best finesse drivers on the market. It produces similar results to the Sidewinder, but with a straighter flight path and not as much of an S-flight pattern as the Sidewinder. As with most Champion discs, the clear ones are fairly stable, while the opaque ones are a little more understable.

More about the Champion Roadrunner from Innova

The Roadrunner is a long-range distance driver with lots of glide. It makes an excellent finesse driver or long range roller. Power throwers can use this disc for long turnover shots and rollers. Less powerful throwers can use this disc for long, straight shots or low tunnel shots. Best Distance Driver for turnover shots.

About Champion Plastic

Our Champion Line is produced with a hi-tech plastic that provides outstanding performance and durability. Champion discs are distinguished by a clear or pearlescent plastic. Our Champion Line discs retain original flight characteristics for an extended period of time. Whether used in heavily wooded situations, or on extremely rugged courses, our Champion Line plastic will continue to perform predictably and avoid damage better than any other plastic. Originally designed for professional players, Champion Line discs are usually more stable than the same model in Pro, R-Pro or DX.

One of the first discs I ever purchased was a champion roadrunner. It proved to be a good beginner disc for me. It can actually help you guage how your throw progresses over time. When I first began, the disc tended to look like a normal hyzer throw; however, as your perfect your form you can notice this disc flattening out and beginning to 'S'. (Posted on 10/20/12)

One of the more reliable long range turnover drivers out there. Throw it flat, it will flip and turn all the way to the ground. Throw it hyzer and it will stand up, turn and come back with a bit of fade. (Posted on 9/27/12)

Great tailwind and hyzer flip driver. Currently have one in the bag for hurricane tailwinds and rollers. Dependable disc you can get some distance out of right away with hyzer flips. Stronger players will flip this disc very easily though. (Posted on 4/26/12)

I only use this disc for rollers. It tends to flip over especially in the wind. Still a good disc. (Posted on 1/19/12)

Roller disc! It also can be used for when you have a lot of wind at your back, barely toss this thing and it will fly! However, if you have any sort of arm you will definitely find yourself hyzerflipping this disc just to stop it from dominating itself with its understability.Review:Roller!Good driver that doesn't require much powerRoller!!!!! I throw sidearm and this disc hooks to hard in early flight. I have tried to angle it but then i can not get any distance. It is only good for rollers. (Posted on 1/23/11)

I carry 3 Roadrunners in my bag 2 171g champ and 1 175g star. These are some amazing discs. I throw my champ 171's flat, hard, and a little high with a lot of snap they will cut way right and just go forever. Or put a lot of hyzer and a lot of snap on it and it will flip flat and just go arrow straight. Also great for long rollers and short tomahawks. The Champ and the Star are two completely different discs. The max weight star is great for long tomahawks. Also for the straight shots and soft rights. The Star Roadrunner is like a super fast Leopard not the crazy right turner that the champ is. The Roadrunner is also one of the greatest candy plastic beginner discs ever next to the sidewinder. My Girlfriend throws a 169g. champ Roadrunner and hit every inch of 250 ft. and that is amazing for her. Try it and trust me it will stay in the bag for a long time. As far a is concerned they are awesome I've been playing for about a two years and this is the hot spot. Joe, Wendy, Scott, and Little Joey and the rest of the staff are some of the coolest people you will ever meet. They have almost anything you can think of in stock. You got to check out there store in Clearwater Florida. (Posted on 7/7/07)
