About the Blizzard Champion Ape

Blizzard Ape is has a little more flex in its flight compared to a heavier Champion Ape.  While still fairly overstable it is not quite as extreme as some of the Boss, Destroyers or evn those fraky poppy Katanas

A very fast flying slightly overstable ultra long range driver with enough stability to handle modest winds and to fight back out of a strong anhyzer.  Great for two-finger shots also.

Under 150 grams the Blizzard Ape is even less stable and more suited towards palyers with less arm speed.  They are not nearly as stable as the 130 Boss.

More about the Blizzard Champion Ape from Innova

The Ape can handle the raw, primal power of disc golfs biggest arms. Extremely fast and stable, the Ape is a "must have" distance driver for windy conditions and sharp doglegs. Sidearm drivers will learn the Ape is more than capable of standing up to even the most intense torque. The Ape is an outstanding choice for backhand or sidearm throws as well as a variety of niche flex shots. With less high speed turn than a Boss, the Ape is not recommended for players who throw less than 300ft.

About the Blizzard Champion plastic

Our new Blizzard technology incorporates thousands of microbubbles into our durable Champion plastic. This results in high speed, premium plastic drivers in weights all the way down to 130 grams! Blizzard discs discs fly with almost the same stability as the equivalent model 20 grams heavier. The Blizzard Champion Line has been adding distance for both pros and ams.

Kinda like a surge ss only much lighter. I would call it stable rather then over stable compared to its heaver brother Ape. Disc works well in low wind and uphill shots. (Posted on 1/15/14)

I own a 145 gram Blizz Ape and I love this disc. It's heavy enough that I can put a solid snap into it when I throw and it won't turn completely over even though it's so light. With a solid snap, it flies pretty straight, pulling slightly during the turn, and finishing back with a strong fade. I use it for shots where I need to go straight for 200-250 and then finish hard left. (I through righty backhand) (Posted on 11/9/12)

The Blizzard Ape is a must have for a power hyzer thrower. The light weight blizzard plastic allows your disc to soar further than before. Great for throwing around giant obstacles at a distance and making it back around to the basket. (Posted on 10/20/12)

My favorite of the blizzard discs. It manages to stay a pretty stable disc even with the lighter weight. I have 2 apes in different weights. 138 and 150. I throw the 150 ape forehand. It is the only blizzard disc i feel safe throwing forehand aside from the max weight blizzard boss. I regularly throw this disc between 375 and 400 feet. (Posted on 7/31/12)

Very good driver. I have been using the last 4-5 games I have played as primary driver and its done me well. Gets good distance, very stable and throws pretty straight. Looking to buy another one next time I go get discs. (Posted on 7/3/12)
