This may very well be Discraft`s straightest flying midrange disc.
It has a low profile and a flatter bevel than most of the other midrange drivers in production.
The smooth, grippy ESP plastic used in this disc gives a great feel that`s not hard at all, yet not as soft as FLX plastic.
And this is one of the easiest to control discs on the market.
It flies incredibly straight right out of the box and will hold a line with hardly any fall-off at the end of its flight.
The Impact has a slight texture on the bottom of the bevel but it doesn`t really affect the grip at all. This may help increase its glide.
This disc is fast and far flying for a midrange, not particularly stable, and best suited for beginners to advanced level players, though Pros like it to for a finesse midrange disc.

Great disc for shots thrown with less than 100% power. This disc just seems to float perfectly straight, then fade just a little at the end of its flight. Makes a great approack disc, and fits well in the hand. Also, when thrown hard, It often outflies some of my drivers with a tailwind. (Posted on 3/21/11)

I've had the impact for about 3 months now and i go out once to twice a week and i've found that not only is this a grest "straight" shot disc, but it is a great disc for anhyzers anywhere from 130-230ft. on hole 17 at my local course it is a right turning shot about 212ft to the basket and this disc gets me at most 50ft away from the pun most of the time 20ft. 4 outta 5 (Posted on 12/6/10)

Nice and reliable. Very easy to throw, and not easy to overthrow. Lands flat and right where you want it, just like a good mid-range should. (Posted on 11/20/10)

I first discovered this disc after receiving one in a misprint package from Discraft. I had been looking for a truly stable midrange for quite some time. The first throw I made with this disc landed ~225' directly in front of me. No fade of any kind! Unfortunately that's only for full power throws. I have discovered that powering down these discs has brought out a rather unfortunate trait of this fades REALLY hard at the end of its flight...and very unpredictably at that. This lack of versatility is something that I've learned to account for, but it has made it a specialty disc due to it unpredictable nature. Because of this, I would only recommend this disc to more advanced level throwers. This is really an unfortunate problem because there is so much good about this disc that I don't want to give up on it quite yet. Its beveled rim makes it feel more like a driver than a mid, and the cross-hatching on the rim really inspires confidence in its wet weather grip for me. It's quite domey and even fairly forgiving of less than perfect releases. Because of all of this, I will continue to attempt to bond with the Impact's behavior at slower speeds as the Meteor and Stratus have never really impressed me (or ever shown a perfectly straight flight at any speed).I'm going to give it a 3/5 rating, but it really deserves a 3.5/5. It may deserve a 4/5 with a little more work, but it doesn't deserve to be rounded up at this time. (Posted on 8/13/10)

one of the longest and straightest throwing discs I have ever thrown. Great for long soft hyzers and flip shots. (Posted on 7/4/10)

I took a special trip up to Clearwater to look at some discs I had been wanting to try - to actually hold in my hand - and between a Meteor and this disc, I opted to try this new Discraft design.I'm not sure yet what the underwing texture does for the disc, but in the short time I've had it I was able to get a sweet midrange throw that put this disc right under the basket for a totally gimme par one day. It feels a lot like a Stratus in terms of grip, but it's a little domier and thus has some glide, but I wouldn't yet call it long range disc. It might respond very interestingly to more power than I can give. (Posted on 3/23/08)
