The same great stable putt and approach disc by Discraft in premium soft Elite-X plastic. These are not too soft so they have quite a bit of rigidity to them but, to some, this feel is just right in between hard and super soft. Feels great in the hand and holds up well to abuse. Putts great in all conditions. 164-174 grams.
The challenger in soft x is one of the best throwing and putting putters out there. If you get the right ones they have a decent bit of high speed stability and the low speed stability will slowly work out of them for a dead straight, lightly fading putter. Give this thing a little bit of air on a drive and it will go surprisingly far for a putter. The soft x plastic grabs the chains, and will also grab the grass on approaches. (Posted on 1/15/14)
Great all around putter for those who like the challenger and other big bead putters but do not like as firm of a feel. Glides better than the D chall and also does not bounce as hard off trees. (Posted on 9/12/12)
This is the slowest disc on the market. It takes more effort than any other disc to get distance. When throwing 100 feet it covers lots of ground fading out slowly into the basket. Putting is inconsistent due to the extremely soft plastic. Sometimes they have dented tops. (Posted on 4/28/12)
Unfortunately seems like Clearwater store doesn`t sell regular X Challenger. I use regular X challenger for longer putts right now. Just a little overstable, which is good for longer putts. Overall great putter. (Posted on 8/23/10)
