Details

This is our top-selling beginner midrange disc made in great feeling DX plastic.
In the late 80`s this was Innova`s number 1 distance disc and a lot of amateurs and beginners still claim that it`s their longest driver.
Primarily used as a turnover disc, many of the heavier ones fly very straight right out of the box, but they beat in quick to become excellent for long turnover shots.
The more it beats in, the shorter the turnover shots it will want to do until eventually it will mostly do 90 degree turns and rollers.
Makes a great roller disc that turns rather quickly - good for learning the roller on before switching to some more challenging discs.

Wide variety of colors. 144-180 grams.

Highly recommended turn-over mid-range disc. Understable out of the box, the DX Stingray quickly beats up to become even more understable. Thrown on a hyzer release angle my beat up DX Stingray flips up, turns over and then flattens out for a long straight glide. (Posted on 2/17/13)

When I first got into the game a friend gave me his old beat up Stingray. I was never able to get much power out of it, but I was able to learn how to control and produce a nice "S" curve, so in that case, it's a great learning disc. Also good for predictable cut shots and hyzering around trees. Anyhyzers not so much since you need a lot of angle to overcome that strong fade. (Posted on 10/4/12)

Great turnover mid. Flies straight when thrown at lower speeds, so it is perfect for beginners. Good glide too. (Posted on 9/27/12)

Perfect beginner disc. Flies straight, easy to turn, good glide, and can be used for anything. If I only could have one disc, this just might be the one. Bought it for my daughter and now it goes with me whenever I play. You are going to want one of these at all times. (Posted on 5/1/12)

Good disc. Easy to throw and very reliable. Great accuracy but not the best distance. A good disc for beginners. (Posted on 3/23/11)

The best first roller disc, in my opinion. Out of the box this thing is understable enough for almost anyone to roll it. That being said, it is not the furthest roller, but it is a consistent dependable roller. (Posted on 3/22/11)

I don't own this disc, but I've used it several times. Pretty good disc. Feels really wide, floats pretty well without much effort. Good beginners disc, maybe intermediate. (Posted on 1/20/11)

This disc is a great one for midrange/approach shots. Its relatively flat and wide and it has a decent lip. It also has a pretty nice feel to it and will give you the control you need. It is good for a wide variety of shots. Its a great utility disc for your bag! (Posted on 10/25/10)

A beautiful disc that can take a beating and still get great distance.Thrown rhfh, it holds a great anhyzer shot.Sadly, mine has gone the way of the dinosaurs, to be replaced by the DX Dragon - another great disc. (Posted on 4/18/10)

I love the Stingray and have always one in my bag. Best midrange disc for those left to right turns. Also a great roller!!! This disc is just as big as a roc, so it rolls forever.....And I also use it for left to right side arm shots, to get out of the jungle.Good disc for a beginner too!! (Posted on 3/23/10)

I don't personally throw the stingray anymore, but the guy i play with often does, and i have found from watching him that this disc is amazing when thumbed or tomohawked for getting out of heavy trees. it seems to hold a tight straight path and i have seen some amazing salvage shots where the rollover of this disc combined with its possible heavier weights, just cuts through trees with even the smallest opening in branches. Excellent all around disc. Very versatile and easy to control. Great for left to right shots, but can also be used for right to left shots if thrown correctly. I find that this is often my "go to" disc for tough shots. One of the indispensable discs in my bag. (Posted on 11/1/08)

Such a useful disc. Great for left to right shots from almost any distance, great for straight narrow shots, great for putts. It's easy to throw and extremely accurate. One of my favorite discs! (Posted on 7/17/08)
