About the DX Sidewinder

It`s a slight remold of the original Sidewinder, with a wing that`s more concave on the bottom. In theory, this would make it more stable. On th other hand, its flatter than the old mold, which may serve to temper the stability some.

In the field, this disc tested amazingly well. Released with a slight hyzer, this disc flattens right up and travels straight with speed and agility, requiring just a little torque and just a little more snap. This Sidewinder goes a mile with little effort. Its extra low profile and stiff flashing will more than likely help this run to be even faster than usual.

The DX Sidewinder will appeal to throwers of almost any strength and persuasion. From newbies(lighter weights) to pros who need a long distance control turnover disc. In fact this is where it will have the most potential - as it beats in it should become your primary turnover utility disc. This high-tech driver will beat in to a high degree, one where Star and Champion will never go, because they never get that beat.

Best described as a faster, beefier Archangel.

More about the DX Sidewinder from Innova

The Sidewinder is a fast flyer with a predictable high speed turn and lots of glide. This disc can add distance to anyone’s drive, but is especially useful for those with less power. The Sidewinder is our best disc for long turnover shots and long distance rollers. Even disc golfers who have never had much success throwing a roller shot, will be amazed at the results they can achieve with the Sidewinder.

As a less powerful, mainly sidearm player, I love using this disc for sidearm shots. The only problem is, the disc is always trying to lift, and if it lifts, it fades alot, and doesn't get much distance. Once you can master keeping it from lifting, it will be one of your favorite sidearm discs. (Posted on 11/22/12)

The DX Sidewinder should be in your arsenal for shooting anhyzers around obstacles and flattening out with a slight fade back to your target. Great disk to have in the bag. (Posted on 4/11/12)

Flattens right out even if release is a little off. This disc was given to my by a friend and for now, it is one of my main discs. I have been using it for rollers and backhand shots. Not fantastic for forhand shots IMO. For the price, i'd give this one a whirl. (Posted on 8/11/08)
