Details

The Gazelle is a cousin of the Cheetah with a nearly identical mold, but designed to be considerably more stable.
It`ll fly straight and stay on point with a slight hyzer return.
This disc, along with the Discraft Cyclone were the mainstay drivers of most top players throughout the mid to late 90`s, before the era of the faster high-tech discs.
What makes these particularly useful is they have a very controlled flight that doesn`t take up a lot of fairway and doesn`t get as far off in the wrong direction when thrown incorrectly.
Exactly what a fairway driver is supposed to do - keep you in the fairway.
Champions and Pro -lines are out of production and can only be found in the collectors section.

170-175 grams.

A must have stable fairway driver. Flies quick and straight with a bit of fade. Great complement to a leopard. (Posted on 9/27/12)

This disc doesn't seem very forgiving to me. Unless I really throw smooth and on the line it wants to turnover. The DX plastic beats in quickly, but it couldn't have been as quickly as I saw this disc changing flight. I would say good technique would make this an excellent disc. Unfortunately my technique didn't help this disc to shine too well. Rim size and dome are very comfortable though. (Posted on 8/27/12)

Had some good success with this disc. Will use it for backhand throws. Just not a go to disc in my bag, but would recommend it to people. (Posted on 5/8/12)

Similar to a teebird or leopard but much less stable. If thrown at distances it will fade as an understable disc. Tons of glide. Fairly slow. Very good for being able to get an anhyzer line out of a disc thrown on a flat plane. Definitely a great complement to the teebird. The very first time I played disc golf (about 8 years ago) My dad bought me an Aviar, a DGA Blunt, and a Gazelle. Since then I've always kept a Gazelle in my bag. If you have a good power shot, this disc will soar like an arrow. The only thing I don't like is that Innova only makes them in DX so they don't last very long. Other than that, it's very stable and easy to control. This is the 7 iron of disc golf. When I can't take all my dscs with me, I'll just grab this and go. (Posted on 4/15/11)

I quit for years and when I started playing again, the first disc I started to use was a Gazelle.. Awesome beginners disc! Has a nice flight and allows you to make mistakes when you are working on your form. It's one of those discs that you will take out of your bag for the faster discs but you will remember it fondly.
