Details

Floats in water.

The Dragon has the speed and profile of the Valkyrie with a little more stability.
But since it only comes in 150 class, it`s light enough to give results similar to the Valkyrie, with the important difference being - it floats.
A floating Valkyrie with great distance.
Exactly what everybody needs for those treacherous water holes. Floats in water no matter what you do to it.
Flies a mile before hyzering out at the end.
Beats in nicely to become a turnover disc.
This is another bestseller for beginners and Ams and players with less snap.
A great forehand disc for kids.

A lot of people negatively review this disc and list off all its issues. I've had no such problems with this disc. Due its light weight, it's hard to throw super long ranges, but it is in no way useless. It still drives a solid distance with a good amount of accuracy. The light weight makes it good for kids and beginners. Of course it floats so its a great water disc. The plastic is very grippy, which can be a good or bad thing depending on personal preference. Good concept, bad execution. If you are looking for a speed 8 understable driver, grab the archangel. Dragon is too flippy and unpredictable. Plastic does have good grip though. (Posted on 9/28/12)

The only good thing about this disc is that it floats in water. Otherwise I find it useless. (Posted on 1/19/12)

This is my go-to roller disc. It's in the 150 weight range, so it's easy to turn over and useless in heavy wind. I employ it near water hazards and trees. (Posted on 3/27/11)

In short, basically the only attraction to this disc is its ability to float. It seems to be no good for throws of even moderate power, and cannot achieve much distance even when thrown correctly. Might as well keep one around to use on intimidating water holes. (Posted on 11/26/10)

The Dragon is a disc that you'll probably hear a lot of people talk bad about, and fewer people say good things about. I'd have to say that I'm in the camp that thinks it's a good disc. The plastic feels even grippier than standard DX plastic. One of the reasons I bought one was due to the floating ability, as at the local courses there are a few deeper water spots where I didn't want to have to try to retrieve one of my more used or expensive discs. I wish it was made in heavier weights, as I've come to enjoy throwing this disc, but once you start to gain power, you have to learn to throw it a bit differently to get the same result due to it being flippy at 150g with much torque. I rated it a 3 because I think it's a good disc for beginners and those who are not completely confident around water hazards yet (myself included) as you can throw this with the confidence that if you miss your spot, it's not going to sink. However, all the more advanced players I play with go for it with their "normal" disc for those holes, as they are more confident in placing it where they want. **DO NOTE: If it's a larger body of water, while the disc will float, you may have to wait a long time for it to blow over to the shore. Floating doesn't mean it will always be easy to retrieve. (Posted on 11/2/10)

Many people give up on this disc after only two or three throws. Don't listen to those people. The light weight, combined with the understability of this disc makes it flip very easily. Correct this by throwing it with hyzer, and, depending on how much you put on it, it will fly a consistent anhyzer, a straight shot with minimal hyzer fade at the end, or a shallow hyzer. It takes a little getting used to, but if you take it to a park, or somewhere open, for even a few hours, it's a good dis to have, until you get more power behind your throws. And, I guess the floating is nice, for some people, too. (Posted on 9/6/10)

This is the only disc I will use if I am on a water hole. Mainly because it floats but also because this disc has great glide to it. It is a good disc for beginners (Posted on 8/3/10)

I found a dragon on the side of the road. This should have been a sign. I found it when I was still pretty new to the sport and thought I would give it a shot. At the time, I could maybe throw a wraith 280 feet. First throw it flipped over and rolled about 100 feet to the right and only went about 60 feet forward. Not a great disc for people with higher power if I rolled it as a new player. I think it floats in water because Innova know that it wouldn't fly far enough to get across the pond. (Posted on 8/1/10)

Another great starter disc. Tends to stay straight with slight fade near the end. Plus is FLOATS!!! Great for any beginner who wants a little more distance and for those who unintentionally aim for the water. (Posted on 9/6/08)
