Details

This is one of the easiest distance turnover discs on the market.
Though the heavier ones start out straight, they beat in quick and will start turning as soon as they get some wear.
This disc was a former best-seller from the mid-90`s that was one of the furthest flying discs on the market at the time.
Today it`s known for a slower, controllable flight with a lot of glide that will turnover in most any circumstance if thrown properly.
Great for beginners and Ams, women and seniors.

Wide variety of colors available. 140-175 grams.

Top-Rated Beginner Friendly!

I bought one of these for my father when he started complaining about losing distance. He loves it. He can send on a perfect turnover route or wing it down and pop it up for a long S curve shot. (Posted on 12/2/12)

Great beginner disc. One of my first discs and after i cleaned out all my beginner discs from my bag, i kept it. I still use it. When thrown right can compare to some of the big name champion and star drivers (Posted on 11/30/12)

Great beginner fairway driver. It is flat and mildly fast. It should go straight for those with weaker arms and have a consistent turn for those who throw farther. (Posted on 9/27/12)

Got a max weight Cheetah that felt almost like Pro. This was the surprise disc out of a handful I was "auditioning." It has a great flight that can be easily manipulated to do what you need. It's not a super-long flyer, but it isn't lacking in ability either. Definitely worth considering as a fairway/placement disc. Works well backhand or forehand. Could be paired with a putter to cover an entire 18 hole course (as long as your 18 hole course doesn't max out over 400+ feet). (Posted on 8/27/12)

As far as I'm concerned, the DX Cheetah is a must-use disc, especially for beginners. Now, I'm not a beginner, but this Innova standard does does its job well, which is fly straight with only a moderate fade on the end. I'm typically pleased when I use my Cheetah, and I can recommend using and keeping this disc in use. I also have a KC Pro version of this disc, which is another kick-a** flyer! (Posted on 4/15/12)

When I first joined my league in 2000-2001, I was given the DX Cheetah by my league pro. I continued to use this disc for several years until it was beaten beyond all recognition. No matter what style of throw I used, the Cheetah always got the job done. The Cheetah will achieve a good amount of distance and will even roll a fair amount as well. Regardless if you are a beginner or not, I believe this disc to be a must-have in your bag. (Posted on 2/7/12)

This disc I got as a first disc for my girlfriend and she threw it very well. A lower speed distance driver for beginners and a nice fairway driver of about 200-250 feet for intermediate players. I enjoyed the fact my girlfriend could pick it up and throw it right away. (Posted on 12/10/10)

This is a beginner disc, for lack of better classification. It's just a hugely overstable disc. You might hear that it rolls really well, and it does, just not in a straight line--it comes back about half of the distance thrown. Not a distance driver in my opinion. (Posted on 12/7/10)

A beginner disc with limited range and the downside of being DX plastic (gets chewed up quickly by tree collisions). Buy it for a water disc :) (Posted on 12/6/10)

Great starter disc or roller disc. Unfortunately they don't mass produce this disc in any other plastic. The leopard is the next closest thing if you want something more durable. It breaks in relatively quickly and becomes flippy, so if you're looking for something to last a little longer, go with the leopard. If you're looking for an entry-level disc, take this one. I'll hang my hat on this as a great starter disc or roller disc. (Posted on 8/13/10)

Ever since I lost my disc from the 90's, I haven't found a fairway driver to replace it. When not beat in, its stable and over time it has a nice turn with a really nice glide. Even experienced AM's can use this disc with perfection! A totally dependable disc! (Posted on 9/7/09)
