Distance Drivers

Distance drivers, also known as "fairway" drivers are the next step up from midrange discs.  At one time, not too long ago, these were the farthest flying discs on the market.  As the game has evolved, these discs have found a usefull niche in the medium control drive category, an essential part of the game that becomes more and more pronounced as you rise to a higher level.  These discs are particularly usefull on courses that require a high level of control such as ones that are long and wooded or full of hazards.  Fairway distance drivers are most effective in the 280-350` range.  These discs are not as fast as longer distance drivers but, on the other hand, less erratic, taking up less fairway and staying closer to its initial landing zone.
