The Surge is one of Discraft’s most popular and versatile high speed drivers. With a wing length in between the newest drivers and old distance standards, the Surge offers a more comfortable grip for smaller hands. It also has a little less speed than the other top tier distance drivers, but makes up for that with a more consistent stability and impeccable glide. For players who are still learning how to get snap on their release; the Surge will fly straight and finish hard. For bigger arms the Surge flies long and straight with a slightly understable glide before a predictably overstable finish. The Z and ESP plastic versions of the Surge are similar in terms of stability and durability. The FLX Surge is the fastest and most overstable Surge. All versions vary in stability based on their run, so if the first one you try is too understable/overstable, try a different color and weight. 167-174 grams.
