Disc wears in great Review by richard

Someone gave me their Champion Monarch. It had some wear on it for sure. So I am not exactly sure what it does brand new. But when I got it, it was a very good disc. It added distance and accuracy. I have now put even more ware on b the disc. It now a slight and predictable fade. I recommend this disc to any one. I wish they made they made this disc in multiple plastics. (Posted on 1/26/14)

The monarch was never very reliable for me. If it didn't snap it off hard, it would hyzer out hard, if I snapped a bit too much it would dive over into a roller. Not a great disc. (Posted on 1/15/14)

Very reliable turnover driver. When I first started playing this was my longest driver, it just seemed to glide forever and ever (Posted on 9/21/12)

I had the champion monarch for a month before it was stolen from me. It is a decent disc but not very good for normal RHBH drives. It performs fair as a roller or tomahawk but otherwise I don't really highly recommend it as an all around disc. (Posted on 5/17/12)

A great disc for tomahawking and roller shots, but not too great for anything else. Not a go to driver but can be useful (Posted on 2/2/12)

This is the disc that I reach for when the Sidewinder and the Roadrunner just will not do. It is one of the straighter flyers in my bag. I got this one when the Groove proved too stable for me. A good, reliable disc time after time. (Posted on 12/18/11)

Great turnover disc. This disc has a lot of glide and is very easy to turnover. I did not have much luck throwing this disc FH because of how understable it is but when thrown BH it has an amazing hyzerflip. For players with weaker arms it is great for a nice S-curve. Definitely a great disc for any player learning to BH. Very interesting rim, similar to a groove.Review:Good disc to overpowerGreat for players with less arm strengthPrimarily FHStrange rim (Posted on 10/29/11)

This disc was my very first driver. Very easy to throw, and as I got more power it became a great turnover driver. Also works good for rollers, and tomohawks. This disc can take a beating and not get dinged up. (Posted on 3/26/11)

Way too understable and finicky for me. I don't really have a need or a spot for this disc in my bag. Some people do like the unique ridges edge that it has though. (Posted on 1/22/11)

Not an ultra-long distance driver in my opinion. Solid floater though for MAYBE long range shots...I'd stick with distance or under range for the monarch though. (Posted on 12/27/10)

I'd wanted to try this disc for a while before I actually bought one. Probably mainly due to the groove in the bottom, which reminded me of the Innova Groove that I'd purchased which was way more disc than I had any business throwing at the time. However, I finally gave in and bought one. It's amazing. I use it a lot like my Sidewinder, for backhand or forehand flick. However, the Monarch flies forever and a day. It's also very easy to keep level both forehand and backhand. When throwing backhand, if you release it just right, it can fly straight and long before fading at the end, but you can just as easily hyzer it out around obstacles. A great introduction to a higher speed driver that should be manageable for most anyone. (Posted on 10/29/10)

I carry two champion monarchs in my bag. Its really a great disc. Use it for my backhand drives that need to fly low and far. Glides great. Great disc for a course that has those tunnel holes were you need to keep your drives low. I recommend this disc. (Posted on 9/29/10)

For a RHBH thrower, this disc can roll over so much it completely opens up a new world of possibilities at the Tee. Kind of nice for beginners who always throw their disc directly left and into the ground. (Posted on 8/30/10)

This is my go to disc for side-arm throws. I don't know what it is about it but if you throw it side-arm it seems to go forever (Posted on 8/11/10)

I find that because of the understability of the monarch, it is very easy to throw straight. By easy I mean when thrown softly the disc flies straight without hyzering out early like most distance drivers. Thrown hard, this disc is great for rollers and long anhyzers. Thrown flat and high, you will get a hard hooking anhyzer that will not come out. Thrown with some hyzer the monarch will flip up and take a smooth right turn. Do not throw the monarch into a headwind though unless you have plenty of room to the right. (Posted on 7/27/10)

If I need a stronger turn at high speed, I grab my monarch! It's perfect for a nice hyzer if you need to get around something and will slow itself down at the end so it will have less skip at the basket (Posted on 11/19/08)

The Champion Monarch has great speed and glide at low altitudes. Turns over with enough snap and finishes strong with a decent fade. (Posted on 9/8/08)

WOW! Took this baby for a trial run at Turkey Lake (T1 and T2) and I am IMPRESSED!If you throw a star Roadrunner and like it, this is a great addition for you. Follows the same flight path and really is faster and goes farther!Parked holes over and over on a slow low glide that seemed to go forever!I am using a lighter one for that slow low glide. The heavier ones are more stable.Innova made this one to flip a little and it does. Great addition for Sidewinder fans! WOW! (Posted on 8/11/08)

This was one of those discs - like the Gateway Assassin - that the hype made me think I'd want to try out. I have, and I'd like to report that this disc doesn't seem to be the turnover beast it's described as being - at least not for me. What it does have is an interesting mold under the wing and a propensity for heading straight out and go with some fairly serious glide! I've thrown 36 holes with a 175g and I daresay that this is my new go-to driver. Definitely check this one out. (Posted on 7/1/08)
