Details

Pure Champion Plastic is sort of stiff with a softer top plate and very clear(translucent).  This High-Tech disc has a very large wing that makes it incredibly fast out of the hand.

170-175 grams.

Stability:  Preliminary field testing indicates that this disc is a tad less stable than a Star Destroyer.  It does not have the tendency to hook as hard at the end of the flight, though it is stable enough to handle a significant amount of torque.  Stability is consistent throughout the flight, unlike the Destroyer, which finishes way more stable than it starts.  On the other hand, it is as stable as the most stable Wraiths in any plastic, but noticebly faster.

This disc should make an excellent long distance hyzer driver and also be quite useful for big anhyzer drives for players with medium torque and armspeed.

Note:  The Boss has an oversized rim that may be difficult for players with small hands to grasp effectively.  On the other hand, if you have very large hands, the Boss may be the best disc yet for you.

I love the champion boss. I have several and always have one in my bag. Its slight turn and harder fade works well on holes with various obstacle challenges, as well as on open holes. (Posted on 10/27/12)

The biggest and the baddest. You need a serious arm to handle this guy. If you can, it will fly out of your hand straight with a tick of turn and then fade hard. Big skips are the norm if kept low enough. (Posted on 9/27/12)

I'm excited to work up to this disk. I am currently a beginner and can't throw it for squat. I love the feel of it, and I know that it has insane potential once I learn how to throw it to it's full potential. As weird as this sounds, I have learned that it doesn't make a half bad putter for very windy days. (Posted on 3/28/12)

I find that this disc is a little faster and a little more stable than a destroyer. Great disc for backhands and forehands alike. (Posted on 3/27/12)

Easily the fastest disc on the market. Mine is a maxweight and I use it for booming sidearms. Its not uncommon to approach 450 feet with a HUGE sweeping s curve flight. Definitly a fun disc to play around with, I highly recommend it. (Posted on 3/22/11)

This disc is just a tiny bit too much for my arm so I can't get a good throw out of it yet. This is very overstable, combining a big fade rating with super high speed. Highly predictable, seeing as it will always finish left. It's an alright disc if unable to fully control it. (Posted on 1/20/11)

This disc is sick for super-anheuser forehand throws that you want to fly long and predictably. Hugely overstable to the point that it requires a whole new strategy for throwing. I like the changeup. Definitely a solid disc for tomahawks as well. Slices through wind easily. (Posted on 12/27/10)

If you are a stronger player looking for a great overstable driver, you've found it. It flies very fast, and fades hard, excellent when driving around corners. (Posted on 11/24/10)

This disc is great if you have tons of power for distance. It is even great once broke in. At first it's super super over stable but after you break it in it can be drove much farther I feel. Overall really nice distance driver and very fast. (Posted on 10/29/10)

I traded a brand new Yellow Champion Groove straight up for a Yellow Champion Boss. My best trade to date. If you can give it a great snap this thing will cruise. Great for bounce shots. (Posted on 10/22/10)

A great disc to have. I have a 175g. I like to use it for two finger distance throws that I want to skip when it hits the ground. Also throw the star plastic 167g. The star I throw both two finger and backhand. The champ I only like to throw two finger. (Posted on 10/20/10)

Throw it flat and it will fly on a huge curve like the St. Louis arc....or use the massive anheiser to your advantage...this disc is predictable, fast, and used by many of the best players I've seen. Recommended! (Posted on 8/14/10)

When new, the Boss is awesome for huge S-curve drives that go surprisingly fast. When broken in, it becomes a nice anhyzer driver if you put enough spin on the disc. If thrown flat, it goes straight as an arrow before hooking left the last 30 feet or so. (Posted on 5/27/10)

when i first heard about this disc i thought it was "just another new disc" that claims to be "the longest flying disc in the universes", as do so many new discs. so, i was a little reluctant to check out this new long bomber from innova. after reading a few other reviews about it, i finally decided to check this one out and i am glad i did. i now have 3 of them in my bag and with every shot they are my absolute longest flying disc in my bag and (or) possibly in the universe. i myself dont have the biggest arm, i would say that on average my drives are around the 350-375 ft range and have had a few lucky throws that get down into the 400 ft range, but this disc is now kicking that average up a notch and i have had more drives that are creeping up on that 400 ft mark then with anything i've thrown before. buy this disc right now and start killing it at the course! I don't generate enough arm speed/snap to get the most from my Boss backhanded, but with sidearm throws,I've achieved my max.distance. I would compare it to my star distroyer as faster and less stable (Posted on 8/16/08)
