THE LEGENDARY KC PRO ROC

Stiff, grippy, durable and reliable describe the Pro plastic used in the KC Roc.

This is not the glossy stuff found in Pro Line drivers like the Wraith, but plastic that closely resembles the super-durable and hard DX plastic that made the San Marino Roc so popular in the early 90`s.

This disc starts off very stable, then slowly yeilds to the straight and turnover as it breaks in.

An excellent wind-fighting midrange disc that does it`s job well no matter what stage of its lifespan it`s in.

A disc that will remain useful no matter how beat up it gets, only the tasks you use it for will change.

Mostly white although sometimes the lighter ones come in colors.

144-180 grams.

All other midrange discs are for sissies - the ROC is for real men!

As perfect as a disc can be. Reliability, thy name is Roc. Full of glide and sharp fade. Breaks in very well. Useful beyond belief. (Posted on 1/15/14)

I love this disc! Excellent for training as a beginner/intermediate backhand player. Buy one of these and play an entire round with it once a week. The plastic is stiffer than dx and seems to hold up better without sacrificing grip.. On a side note, its more difficult to throw sidearm than my buzzz... (Posted on 1/15/14)

The most versatile mid range in the game. From new to beaten, you can execute every mid-range shot there is. Break a roc in, throw it with hyzer, and watch is slowly turn over for that perfect late turn to the right. Amazing! (Posted on 12/19/12)

A very reliable straight to stable midrange. The KC pro plastic is very grippy and good for all conditions. The Roc is very straight with a bit of fade at the end and even will become super straight after enough use. It is beneficial to have a couple of these in various stages of wear. (Posted on 9/19/12)

In the two years that I have been playing disc golf, no other disc has single-handedly improved my game than the KC Pro Roc. My first experiences with Pro plastic was a candy clear gummy Pro Leopard. I love that disc, so I decided to check out the KC Pro Roc and see if the grip was similar. When I got it, I was a bit disappointed. The grip was not similar at all, but when I took it out for a spin at my local course, I saw why it's one of the best selling discs of all time.I already had a Star San Marino Roc, but was never really satisfied with it - it seemed inconsistent and the grip too bulky. This Roc fits your hand like a glove, and the firm plastic is much better, in my opinion, than the soft Star plastic my other Roc was made of. In the middle of my first round, I made the decision to replace my other midranges with my KC Pro Roc. Now I have two in my bag. (Posted on 9/12/12)

I'm not a fan of KC aviars for the same reason that I love KC rocs. Its super stiff and solid. It is pretty overstable to start out but it breaks in pretty quick and flies straight as an arrow. (Posted on 8/30/12)

I had bought a 180 gram KC Pro Roc when I first started playing. That was dumb. I figured the disc was just too overstable to be of any use. Well, after playing for a few years I pulled the Roc out of the closet and fell in love with it's accuracy and distance. This is looking to replace my Buzzzes (I thought I was a die-hard Discraft fan). Anyways, this disc really does go where you tell it. It's stable with a predictable forward fade. I get almost the same distance with it as I do with some fairway drivers. In fact, if I'm not sure which to use I'll pull the Roc out just for the sake of reliability. The only drawbacks for me so far is that I can't forehand a Roc as well as I can a Buzzz. Rocs are too domey for me to get the feel right. Also, I can't get a flat-release turnover with my KC Pro Roc yet. One additional point, the smaller rim gets me a better release point over my Buzzz. (Posted on 6/26/12)

In KC Pro plastic the Roc starts out pretty overstable, but beats up quickly to become a great straight flier. The disc is also under-rated as an anhyzer disc. Thrown high and with a fairly extreme annie release angle it will turn and then straighten down a line with amazing accuracy. (Posted on 1/17/12)

Hands down the best disc ever made. I carry up to 4 of these in my bag at a time all beat at different levels from stable to understable. These discs will do anything you want them to. (Posted on 12/1/11)

This is the midrange I go to when I need to battle wind, for a sure chain-crusher, and the most reliable throws where I know getting to the basket is essential. When I first got this disc, it didn't take long for my Buzzz to be replaced as a number one midrange. This is the all-around multi-purpose disc that any discgolfer can use. Hands down! A whole 18 holes could be played with this disc without using any other. How many discs can a disker confidently say that about? Grab this one, it's worth it! (Posted on 12/1/11)

Game changing disc/ Plastic. I used to hate "midrange discs", they always felt like a big floppy pancake in my hand and when throwing. I own a star shark, star Stingray and a star San Marino Roc and wondered what all the great reviews were about. Well I decided to give the firmer KC Pro plastic a wirl and worked on my fan grip a little more and now I can't put the thing down. The firmer plastic coupled with the improved fan grip totally changed my outlook on rocs and midrange discs in general! The KC Pro Roc is now by far my favorite disc and you can literally use this one disc for an entire round...maybe that's why it says multi purpose on the disc. (Posted on 5/1/11)

The Roc is a solid disc for any distance. i use it as a mid range because its very easy to handle. Be careful when you first throw it though because it will fly forever if you throw it hard. a must have when i play disc golf. (Posted on 2/17/11)

There's a reason you will find this disc in 2 out of every 3 disc golfers bags. An all around great mid range disc that flies true in most weather conditions. I prefer the Pro plastic over the DX any day for this disc. (Posted on 1/20/11)

The Pro Roc is definitely a good choice for shorter-midrange shots. It's not one of my first-choice discs, but it's well designed for those short shots. Hard to predict for longer shots. The reason I don't keep this in my bag is because I don't like the rim--it's awkward and stubby. It just doesn't leave my hand feeling like a good throw. This might be something that can be changed with more experience with the disc. (Posted on 12/6/10)

Awesome disc! Not only is it a great mid range disc, it is fantastic for putting, especially on windy days. As it gets more broken in it makes a very reliable roller. Maybe the most versatile disc I own. (Posted on 12/6/10)

The KC Pro Roc is a great disc because it is extremely versatile. Right out of the box it can hyzer, go straight, or anhyzer. The plastic is stiff enough to handle high power throws without flexing. This disc immediately replaced all other midranges in my bag as soon as I used it. I lost my first one and replaced it the very next day. (Posted on 6/9/10)

I use this disc for medium shots that require a bit of slide up at the end (bump and run in ball golf). The bead on the bottom lets the disc slide awhile before stopping, so land early of your target and slide up to it. Excellent grip for a loud snap that lets you know the disc is going to perform. This disc will be stable for a long time. After it gets broken in, it will be straight for a long time. With extreme age it will develop a slow fade to the right which can be useful, but I usually just keep stable new ones and use other discs for my slow fade right. (Posted on 10/14/09)

I keep two of these in my bag at all times. One is beat in and the other is usually new so it has a very nice stable drive. In wooded areas where you need to be precise, this is the one to use! It plays nice in the wind! (Posted on 7/19/09)
